LED Applications

Examples of Industrial uses of LED’s include Traffic Lights, Street Lighting, and Parking Lot Lighting. Most traffic lights are now using LED lights and many cities are testing or have already installed LED street lighting. 

The most common use of LED lights in commercial buildings would be outdoor LED security lighting, parking garage lighting and retrofit LED elevator bulbs. Many restaurants are using LEDs for mood lighting, sign lighting and especially their entertainment stage lighting. LED lights are also commonly found in supermarkets, retail track lighting as well as retail displays. Office buildings have been slower to adapt to LEDs though LEDs are very common replacements for recessed lighting bulbs and halogen MR16s.

There is a wide selection of residential grade LEDs now available that include retrofit bulbs for just about every light in your home. These include bulbs for regular base and chandelier base bulbs for indoor decorative Lights, Task lamps, Landscape Lighting, and general purpose lighting, such as kitchen down lights. Many fixture manufacturers are now creating built in LED sconces, chandeliers and LED ceiling lights that require no bulb at all!
