Atrium at Aventura LED Retrofit 1
Challenge:
Atrium at Aventura building management wanted to reduce energy consumption and the need to constantly replace burnt out light bulbs. Proposals from other LED companies totaled in the hundreds of thousands of dollars where the budget called for a more economical solution.
Solution:
Superior Lighting recommended retrofitting the building lighting in phases. Phase 1 called for changing out the least efficient light bulbs in common areas such as the lobbies and elevators. Superior Lighting replaced 50 Watt halogen MR16 bulbs from the lobby area to 6 Watt LED MR16 bulbs. Elevators were retrofitted with 8 Watt LED reflector bulbs. All of these bulbs were on for 24 hours a day. Approximately 100 light bulbs were changed for an annual savings of about $3500 and an expense of just $4500.
