Orleans Chateau Turtle Lighting
Challenges:
Orleans Chateau's beautiful Oceanside location affords residents the beauty and challenges of living in an environmental paradise. Unit owners wanted modern yet durable lighting that provided enough light for residents, would withstand the harsh climate and not disrupt sea turtle nesting habitats.
Solution:
Superior Lighting proposed non corrosive turtle friendly down-lights from the Justice Design Group. These ceramic light fixtures are hand made in the USA and ideal to withstand the salty and sometimes harsh ocean climates. The fixtures' lighting is shielded from the beach and directs light to where residents need it most. Fixtures were lamped with 5 watt amber LED bulbs in compliance with the local ordinance. These bulbs will save a tremendous amount of energy over their rated 50,000 hour life.
